Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting

The Illinois MIECHV (Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting) program funds home visiting services to 26 local implementing agencies in 13 communities using one of two evidence-based model programs (Parents as Teachers and Healthy Families Illinois). Illinois MIECHV also funds coordinated intake quality improvement activities in 12 communities throughout the state. The Illinois Department of Human Services, Department of Early Childhood, Bureau of Home Visiting (IDHS-DEC-BHV) is the programmatic and fiscal lead and administers Illinois MIECHV. CPRD’s MIECHV team coordinates the research, evaluation, and quality improvement activities, as well as the continuous quality improvement to each local agency.

IDHS Home Visiting

The IDHS Home Visiting program funds home visiting services to 32 local implementing agencies in 20 communities using one of three evidence-based model programs (Healthy Families Illinois, Parents as Teachers, and Early Head Start). The Illinois Department of Human Services, Department of Early Childhood, Bureau of Home Visiting (IDHS-DEC-BHV) is the programmatic and fiscal lead and administers IDHS Home Visiting. CPRD’s IDHS Home Visiting team coordinates the research and evaluation activities.
