Early Childhood Development

Early Childhood Development

CPRD helps agencies, organizations, and community service providers make child and family programs and human service systems more efficient and effective. Our services include development of evaluation strategies, data collection systems, and data analysis in order to help agencies improve their maternal health and early childhood education and support services to young children and their families.

MIECHV and IDHS Home Visiting

CPRD’s home visiting team coordinates the research and evaluation of the Illinois MIECHV (Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting) program and the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Early Childhood, Bureau of Home Visiting (IDHS-DEC-BHV) Home Visiting Program.  The IDHS-DEC-BHV is the programmatic lead and administers both programs. CPRD provides data support for benchmark data collection; data analysis for understanding the impact of home visiting on outcomes; develops and disseminates state and local level reports; provides coordinated intake quality improvement activities; supports providers in their implementation of continuous quality improvement projects; provides technical assistance and training to providers on data collection; and disseminates specialized reports, research briefs, and presentations.

The All Our Kids Network

The AOK Networks are community-based collaborations that promote healthy pregnancies and the positive growth and development of children birth to five and their parents/caregivers by assuring a high-quality, well-coordinated, easily accessible system of services and supports.

AOK Networks are in 12 Illinois communities. CPRD hosts the AOK Connect online data collection and reporting system that all Networks utilize, and the CPRD MIECHV Team collaborates with the AOK Network leadership to connect the networks to home visiting services.
