The Illinois Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnerships for Success (SPF PFS) grant addresses Illinois’ target substance abuse priority to reduce underage drinking. Awarded in 2014, the SPF-PFS grant supports eight sub-recipient communities throughout the state that use the Strategic Prevention Framework to identify local priorities associated with underage drinking, implement evidence-based programs, policies and practices, and use data to guide continuous quality improvement. CPRD serves as the evaluation contractor for the SPF-PFS and supports the State Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup. This federally-funded project is the fourth multi-year grant awarded to Illinois by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to integrate a data-driven planning, implementation, and evaluation process into state- and community-level prevention initiatives. CPRD has been the state evaluation partner for the duration.
